We left about two hours late, realizing as we hit the road that Halley had forgotten to get the glasses ordered earlier in the week. Oh the chaos!

There's nothing better to test the strength of a marriage ;-)


We found ourselves on the quintessential road trip that first day without even trying. I guess that's why it's quintessential though - it's so easy to come by.

John Mellancamp's "Ain't That America" played on the radio as we drove into Hunteresville, NC - what felt like small town America right outside of Charlotte.

This store front boasted it all.
